Applied Energy Hub (AEnHub) is a commercial application laboratory in the field of energy storage and batteries with a special focus on lithium-ion technology and located in Singapore. We provide testing, industrial R & D, consulting and training to our customers from all sectors of industry.
We are an independent division of TUM CREATE - which was jointly set up in 2011 by the Technological University of Munich (TUM) and the Nanyang Technological University Singapore (NTU) with funding by the National Research Foundation of Singapore (NRF) to work on the challenges of future cities and electro mobility in tropical megacities.
Our dedicated team with both industrial as well as academic backgrounds together cover the field of energy storage from the material science / electrochemistry all the way to large format energy storage systems for electric vehicles or stationary applications.
Applied Energy Hub's services are grouped into four main cores - Testing of batteries and battery systems, applied R & D for our industrial customers, consulting on product development and -improvements and conducting workshops, seminars and courses:
Using our wide array of equipment, we can evaluate the performance of any battery (any battery chemistry), module or pack. We offer both tailor-made tests customized on your unique requirements as well as testing based on national and international standards (IEC, ISO, IEEC, ECE and more).
Our applied research fills the gap between university research and the industry, covering all aspects from material analysis to battery system development. Long- or short-term projects, strict confidentiality and full IP ownership by the customer or full publication of all results, we work with you to solve the challenges your product faces.
Not sure if your solution is safe? Faceing challenges using new battery technology or performance of an existing product is not yet where you want it to be? Talk to us, and our experts with years of experience in the field working in Europe and Asia will work together with your engineers to make your products meet your goals.
Our backgrounds from science & academics to engineering and long experience makes us ideally poised to impart knowledge from material chemistry all the way to battery electronics and high-voltage systems to your employees. See our event calendar for upcoming sessions or contact us to arrange for training at your premises.
